WILKES-BARRE – Wilkes University women's ice hockey sophomore Nina Hudakova (Košice, Slovakia/Hoosac Prep School) has been selected to the DIIIHockeyNews.com Second Team East, as announced by the organization Wednesday afternoon.

The award comes just one day after fellow teammate Haylee Bouchard (Sioux Lookout, ON) was named to the outlet's First Team East.

This becomes Hudakova's third major end-of-season award, after being named to the All-MAC First Team and ACHA All-American Second Team East.

 In a breakout sophomore campaign, Hudakova tallied 22 goals and 25 assists for a total of 47 points, ranking her tied for sixth in DIII. Her 22 goals were also tied for sixth-best in the nation, and a single-season new program record.

Hudakova averaged 1.67 points per game and finished with a +46 plus/minus, both second to Bouchard on the single-season program record list.
