WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University athletic department has announced the 2026 schedule for the Wilkes Men's Soccer team on Monday, continuing a series of schedule releases for all fall sports teams.

The Colonels aim to rebound from a 1-13-4 overall record last season under the direction of Michael Piranian, who begins his tenth season as head coach of the program in 2026.

The season kicks off on home turf, with three of the team's first four games hosted at Bruggeworth Field. The Colonels begin their campaign on September 2, as they host Ramapo College at 6:00 p.m. Next is a matchup with New York University on Sept. 5, set for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff. The first road game of the year isn't far from home, as the navy and gold travel across town for a contest with King's College on Sept. 9 at 7:00 p.m.

After meeting with Mitchell College for the first time last season, Wilkes hosts the Mariners in a return fixture on Sept. 12 at 2:00 p.m. Wilkes took the maiden matchup 3-1 in New London, Conn. in 2025. The Colonels then take the short trip up Route 309 to face Misericordia University on Sept. 16 for a 7:00 p.m. match against the Cougars, before returning home to play Hood College on Sept. 19 at 1:00 p.m.

A two-game road trip follows, as the Colonels head to the Electric City to face Marywood University on Sept. 22 at 7:00 p.m. Landmark play then opens on Sept. 26 with a matchup at Elizabethtown College scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The team's last non-conference game kicks off another home stretch on Sept. 30 as they welcome Arcadia University for a 7:00 p.m. contest.

As focus shifts to Landmark play, the Colonels host Juniata College on October 3 for a 1:00 p.m. match against the Eagles. A trip to Susquehanna University on Oct. 7 splits a quartet of home matches, facing the River Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Last season, goaltender Matthew Conti's (Florence, NJ/Florence Township Memorial High School) goal in the final seconds provided a thrilling finish to a 1-1 draw at Bruggeworth Field.

Completing a stretch of four out of five games on home turf, Wilkes welcomes Catholic University to the Ralston Athletic Complex on Oct. 10 and Drew University on Oct. 14, with those games starting at 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. respectively. The final pair of road games follow, beginning with Goucher College on Oct. 17 at 1:00 p.m. and finishing with the University of Scranton on Oct. 21 at 7:00 p.m.

The season concludes with a pair of home games, beginning with Moravian University on Oct. 24 at 1:00 p.m., before concluding the year against Lycoming College on Oct. 28 with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
