Ermeus '26 Named to New Athletics Content Creator Position

WILKES-BARRE – Wilkes University Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations and Sports Information Director Vince Scalzo has announced the hiring of Josh Ermeus '26 as the new Athletics Content Creator.

The position was created in coordination with an NCAA Division III Pathway to Excellence Grant along with the support of the University.  The main goal of the position is to support the athletics communications team by producing engaging photo and video content that highlights student-athletes, coaches, and the Wilkes Athletics brand.

"We are excited to add Josh to this newly created position in Athletic Communications that will have such a big impact on the entire department producing creative content," said Scalzo. "We already new the type of quality work Josh produced while a student-athlete at Wilkes and now he has the opportunity in a full-time role to enhance our creative profile using graphics, video and social media content to publicize all Colonel student-athletes and teams," he added.

Ermeus worked with the athletics department during his four-year academic career as well as running his own photography business (JSI Productions). His keen eye for detail and passion for storytelling through photo and video asset capture has been evident in his work with Colonel teams through social media as well as the athletics website.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve as a Colonel once again and to continue contributing to this University that means so much to me. I'm excited for what's ahead and ready to get to work," said Ermeus.

Ermeus also worked for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for four years in game day operations where he supported the planning and execution of in-arena entertainment and promotions. He created and edited gameday graphics and video content while also clipping and archiving game footage of the team.

Continuing his development on campus, Ermeus served as a Resident Assistant from 2023-2026 and also worked in the Presidents Office for one year.

Ermeus was a four-year member of the football team and graduated from Wilkes in May 2026 with a degree in Digital Design and Media Arts.
