Wilkes Men's Soccer Picked Tenth in Landmark Preseason Coaches' Poll

TOWSON, Md. – The Wilkes University men's soccer team was picked tenth in the 2026 Landmark Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference Wednesday afternoon.

Wilkes finished the 2025 season with a 1-13-4 overall record, and finished 0-7-2 in Landmark play. Head Coach Michael Piranian enters his tenth season with the program in 2026. 

Three-time defending conference champion Catholic was predicted to finish atop the Landmark, recording 81 points and seven first place votes. Scranton, the 2025 regular season champion, was selected second with 70 points and two first place votes. Moravian was projected third with 64 points, and Drew sits in fourth with 60 points and one first place vote.

Juniata (41 points) and Lycoming (40 points) were picked fifth and sixth, being separated by a single point. Rounding out the poll is Goucher in seventh with 38 points, Susquehanna in eighth with 30 points, Elizabethtown in ninth with 19 points, and lastly Wilkes in tenth with nine points.

The Colonels open their 2026 campaign hosting Ramapo College on Wednesday, September 2 at 6:00 p.m. at Bruggeworth Field, and begin Landmark play at Elizabethtown College on Saturday, September 26 at 1:00 p.m.
