Women's Golf Ties Program Low, But Falls To Moravian

WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's golf team matched a program low, shooting a 374 on a rainy and windy Saturday afternoon at Wyoming Valley Country Club, but it was not enough as it fell to Moravian, 368–374.

Reigning Landmark Athlete of the Week Kyleen McCance (Hanover, PA/Hanover Area) made three birdies and four bogeys, carding a one-over-par 73 to lead all scorers. Junior Isabella Rebar (Eynon, Pa./Valley View)d fired a 94, the lowest score of her collegiate career. Haylee Bouchard (Sioux Lookout, ON/) shot 103, while Leah Skudalski () finished with a 104. Sydnee Macdonald (Olyphant, PA/Mid Valley) posted 109, and Madison Mendrzycki (Mountain Top, PA/) rounded out the Colonels with a 113.

Heidi Weigscheider led Moravian with a 10-over par 82, followed by Jensyen Buist with a 90.

Wilkes returns to action tomorrow, Sept. 27, to face Marywood University at Stone Hedge Golf Club. The match will start at 12:00 p.m.
