Yaracs Named Defensive Athlete of the Week
 

TOWSON, Md. – Wilkes University women's soccer junior Delaney Yaracs (Butler, PA/Butler) has been named Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office this afternoon.

This is Yaracs' first career Athlete of the Week award. 

The veteran goalkeeper was a defensive powerhouse, securing two shutouts in a week, in crucial wins against Mount Aloysius College and Elizabethtown College in their Landmark Conference opener.

In her game against Mount Aloysius College, Yaracs played 58 minutes and contributed to the 5-0 shutout with two saves. Against the Elizabethtown College Blue Jays, Yaracs completed five saves, securing her second shutout in dominant fashion. 

The Colonels return to action on Wednesday, September 30 against Muhlenberg College. Kick off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
