Completed in the summer of 2006 and located inside the Simms Center on Main, the $8.9 million, state-of-the-art McHale Athletic Center hosts 3 basketball courts that can be used for volleyball and tennis; a 2 lane track, high ropes course, climbing wall, locker rooms, and an athletic training room. The McHale Athletic Center is used for Wilkes student and community events throughout the academic year, intramural sports, and varsity athletics as well as leadership and team building courses facilitated by The Leadership Institute. Undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies are also held in the McHale Athletic Center.
