Bob Klinetob returns for his 16th season as a member of the Wilkes coaching staff. Klinetob, who was the Colonels starting catcher on their 1994 Middle Atlantic Conference championship team, graduated from Wilkes in 1995 with a degree in Biology.
Coach Folek always refers to Klinetob as the unsung hero of the Wilkes baseball coaching staff. Despite holding down a full-time job, Klinetob handles a variety of on and off the field duties that have greatly aided in the success of Wilkes baseball.
Klinetob has played an integral role in helping Wilkes post winnings campaigns in nine of the past 11 seasons. During that same time span the Colonels have earned a berth in the Freedom Conference playoffs five times and also earned invitations to play in the ECAC Southern Baseball Championship in both 2002 and 2004. The 2003 and 2004 teams not only earned Freedom Conference playoff berths, but both teams advanced to the conference championship game, while the 2007 squad won the Freedom Conference title and earned a berth in the NCAA Division III Championship.
Klinetob, his wife Carina, and their son Kolby reside in Pittston.
