Brandon Michael begins his first year as head coach after assuming the role in September 2017.
Michael is in his fourth year on the Wilkes baseball staff having served as an assistant coach since 2015 and played a vital role in the recruiting and in offensive game planning since joining the staff.
Michael is no stranger to the Colonel baseball program having played for Wilkes from 2011-2014 serving on the pitching staff. He began his career as a relief pitcher before finishing in the starting rotation.
He appeared in eight games as a freshman striking out six batters in 8.2 innings of work from the bullpen. As a sophomore, Michael continued his relief work appearing in ten games striking out 15 batters in 15.2 innings of work. His best season came as a junior where he went 2-5 throwing 28.2 innings as the Colonels No. 1 option.
Michael graduated from Wilkes in May 2014 with a degree in Accounting.
