Josey Rupert begins her second season as an assistant coach with the Men's and Women's Cross Country teams.
Rupert starred for four years at MAC rival Eastern University running for all four years with the Eagles. She received the Coach's Award as a freshman before garnering team MVP honors as a sophomore and junior. She also was named the Female Athlete of the Year as a junior while garnering the Impact Award at the school as a senior. Rupert was also named Team Captain during her senior season.
Rupert also excelled in the classroom claiming multiple academic honors during her time at Eastern. She was named the 2015 Impact Award Female Recipient for excellence in Athletics, Academics and Character while also being named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women's Cross Country Team. In 2014, Rupert was named MAC Student-Athlete of the Year and Academic All-Conference while also garnering a spot on the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
Rupert graduated from Eastern in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Biokinetics and works as a personal trainer/group fitness instructor/head lifeguard at theGreater Pittston YMCA.
