Michael O’Neill begins his second year as Fitness Center/Strength & Conditioning Assistant aiding Keith Klahold in all aspects of Wilkes athletics strength and conditioning.

O’Neill recently completed an internship as strength and conditioning coach at Jeff Oliver’s Be Athletic Sports Performance Program in Worchester, MA at The College of Holy Cross. There he developed athletes using dynamic warm-ups and flexibility, speed development, lateral movement enhancement, plyometric drills, core stabilization, Olympic lifting and explosive training, and conditioning.

Prior to his time at Holy Cross, O’Neill worked as a personal trainer at the Scranton YMCA counseling members about fitness, exercise, and health and injury management. He also served as personal trainer at Main Objective Fitness in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. prior to his time in Scranton.

O’Neill graduated from Marywood University with a degree in Physical Activity while minoring in Nutrition. He holds certifications in: CPR/AED, strength and conditioning, and personal trainer. While at Marywood O’Neill was a four-year member of the Cross Country teams being named team captain as a senior.
