Kelsey Zook begins her second season as a graduate assistant for the Wilkes field hockey team in 2016.
Zook is no stranger to Wilkes having played at Freedom Conference foe Delaware Valley University for three seasons after transferring from Penn State.
As a sophomore in 2012, Zook earned All-Freedom Second Team honors after leading the Aggies with a team-high 19 points on seven goals and five assists. For her play on the field and work in the classroom she was selected to the Philadelphia Inquirer Field Hockey Academic All-Area Team and NFCA National Academic Squad.
As a junior in 2013, she started in all 21 games serving as a team captain on a squad that clinched a conference tournament bid. Zook was named First Team All-Freedom Conference posting 19 points on seven goals and five helpers. She also repeated as a selection on multiple academic squads including the MAC All-Academic, Philadelphia Inquirer and NFCA academic squads.
As a senior last year, Zook totaled 16 points on six goals and four assists clinching her third straight All-Freedom honor as well as multiple academic postseason awards.
Zook graduated with a degree in Animal Science in December 2014. She will pursue her MBA at Wilkes.
