Sara Myers began her second stint as the head field hockey coach at Wilkes University in 2014 after serving in the position for five years from 2005-2009. She enters her tenth season in 2018. Myers also serves as the Assistant Athletic Director and the department's Senior Woman's Administrator.

In her nine seasons at the helm, Myers’ teams have went 97-76, the highest winning percentage (.561) by a coach in school history.
 
In the squads best season in 2008, the Colonels finished 18-4, the most wins in a single season in school history and a trip to the ECAC postseason tournament. A year later, Wilkes finished 15-4 and made its second straight trip to the postseason. Wilkes became regionally and nationally ranked during both seasons for the first time in school history. Myers was named Freedom Conference Coach of the Year following the record-breaking 2008 campaign. Myers earned her second Coach of the Year nod in 2017, when she led the team to a 4-2 record in conference play.
 
Over her nine years at Wilkes, Myers has coached 32 All-MAC Freedom players and five Rookie of the Year selections, including 2014 honoree Marissa Surdy who also earned NFCA All-Region honors for the second straight season in 2015, and Haley Gayoski, who was named the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year, First Team Longstreth/NFHCA All-South Atlantic Region and Second Team All-ECAC in 2017.
 
During her first stint at Wilkes, Myers also served as the school’s Senior Woman Administrator where she supervised the department’s graduate assistants and helped develop fundraising initiatives.
 
Myers most recently worked as an administrator/academic advisor at Luzerne County Community College since 2011.

Prior to Wilkes, Myers spent one season as head coach at the University of Scranton leading the squad to the conference championship game on way to being named Coach of the Year in 2004.
 
Myers was a standout player at Crestwood High School and was a member of four District 2 championship teams. She earned All-Wyoming Valley Conference honors and was also a member of the Academic All-State team.
 
Myers earned her bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Susquehanna University, where she was also a four-year starter on the field hockey team. A team captain during her senior season, she earned the team's Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year awards following both her junior and senior campaigns. An All-Commonwealth Conference selection as a senior, Myers was also a member of the Middle Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll.
 
After graduating from Susquehanna in 2002, Myers went on to Goucher College where she spent two seasons as an assistant field hockey coach. Myers also garnered her master's degree in Athletic Administration and Leadership from the Maryland-based school in 2003.

Myers and her husband Greg have three daughters, Allie, Emma and Lane.
