Chris Vega begins his sixth season on the Colonels football staff in 2021 where he serves as the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach.
Vega comes to Wilkes following a standout career at MAC rival Delaware Valley University, where he was a four-year member of the Aggies football team that won two MAC titles, two NCAA Division III playoff games, and the 2012 ECAC Southeast Bowl. For his career, Vega totaled nine interceptions, 109 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, defended six passes, and recovered three fumbles.
Vega currently works as an Instructional Assistant and Behavior Manager at Foundations Behavioral Health Life Works Alternative Middle/High School.
Vega graduated from Delaware Valley in 2014 with a degree in Business Management.
