David Castillo enters his first season as an assistant coach in 2016 working with the Wilkes defensive backs.
Castillo recently served as the assistant varsity coach at East Stroudsburg High School assisting in game day planning, managing player rotations and defensive schemes and assisting in player development. He also worked as the assistant junior high basketball coach during his time at the school.
He also enjoyed a brief semi-professional indoor football career playing for the NEPA Miners, Erie Explosion and Lehigh Valley Steelhawks from 2012-2015 where he played defensive back.
Castillo graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
