Greg comes to Wilkes after playing four years at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. Jones was a three-year starter at the linebacker position while at Bucknell, as well as a captain his last two seasons. He led the team in tackles both as a senior and junior, and was second on the team in tackles his sophomore season. His senior year, he averaged 9.2 tackles per contest, which was third in the Patriot League. For his efforts, Jones was a First-Team All-Patriot League selection in 2009, as well as the team MVP, Outstanding Linebacker, and Most Inspirational. He was also the team’s Outstanding Linebacker in 2008.
Greg graduated from Bucknell with honors in the spring of 2010 with a major in History. He was also selected to the Football Championship Subdivision Athletic Director's Association Academic All-Star Team. This is his first season in the coaching profession.
