Harry Armstrong

Harry Armstrong enters his first season on the sidelines at Wilkes in 2011, working with the quarterbacks and wide receivers. He also serves as the recruiting coordinator for head coach Frank Sheptock.
Armstrong comes to Wilkes after an outstanding career at Lafayette College where he started at quarterback for two seasons. He graduated in 2002 with a degree in Economics and Business.
Armstrong’s coaching experience is widespread at all levels. He started at his alma mater as an assistant defensive backs coach following graduation. From there, Armstrong served as the running backs coach at Worcester Polytechnic Institute before moving onto John Hopkins University as the quarterbacks coach. He also has experience at the professional level having served as the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach for the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers Arena Football team. Recently, Armstrong served as head coach at Riverside high school.
Armstrong has local ties to the area having graduated from Riverside in 1998. While at Riverside, Armstrong played behind center totaling 4,253 yards and 66 touchdowns over his four year career.
Originally from Taylor, PA, Armstrong is engaged to Christine Loyek.
