Shane Sweeney joined the Colonels football staff in the Spring of 2018 and serves as the running backs coach.
Sweeney graduated from Hobart College in 2017 with a degree in American History and a minor in Sociology. While at Hobart, Sweeney spent three seasons as a member of the Statesmen football team, where he was named an All-American, ECAC Player of the Year, and Liberty League Player of the year. Sweeney was also named First Team All-Liberty League and First Team All-ECAC, and also led the conference in touchdown passes and passing yards.
