Stephen Cushing begins his second season in 2020 coaching the safeties for the Colonels.
Cushing is no stranger to the Middle Atlantic Conference having played four years at nearby Misericordia University where he led the Cougars secondary playing safety and outside linebacker while being named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll.
He spent the past summer as an assistant coach at Goshen High School in Goshen, N.Y. where he assisted with on-field coaching running drills for linebackers, running backs and special teams. Cushing also has experience with Youth Football in Warwick and Goshen where he developed and implemented practice plans, defensive schemes and taught proper tackling techniques.
Cushing graduated from Misericordia in 2018 with a degree in Business with a specialization in Marketing.
