Thomas A. Hamill is associate professor of English at Wilkes. He earned his BA in English and Political Science from Loyola College in Maryland and his PhD in English at the University of Delaware. He specializes in medieval and early modern English literature and has published essays on the intersections between sport and literary modes in early modern England, on undergraduate students as digital mediators and producers of Shakespeare, and on editing Chaucer and Shakespeare in the digital archive and in the undergraduate classroom.

He lives in Kingston with his wife, Lisa, and with their two daughters, Grace and June. Outside of his work at Wilkes, he enjoys camping with his family, coaching youth soccer and basketball, volunteering at his church, and playing golf and guitar.
