Mike DeBlasio begins his fifth season on the Wilkes staff, and his third as an assistant coach after spending the previous two as a graduate assistant for the Colonels.
DeBlasio will serve as the Colonels offensive coordinator after a fine four-year career at Virginia Military Institute. Named captain in both his junior and senior seasons, DeBlasio started all four years while at VMI being named the Worrell Fallon Most Valuable Player twice over his career. He was also named a National Division I Freshman of the Week in March of 2012 and National Division I Player of the week in April of 2015.
DeBlasio finished his career ranked seventh all-time in points and sixth all-time in goals at VMI. He also served as vice president of the Cadet Student Athlete Scholar Society where he was named a member twice during his time at the Institute.
