Rabel currently serves as the Director of Specialized Programs in the Office of Student Life and Success. In this role, she oversees the First Year Foundations (FYF 101) program, serves as a program advisor for the Fulbright Scholarship program, and oversees other programs and initiatives in Student Life and Success.
She has taught in the FYF 101 program since fall 2021, and her course section is titled "Learning by Living." Additionally, Rabel serves as a co-chair of the Strategic and Long-Range Planning Committee, which oversees the implementation of the university's current strategic plan, Innovate. Engage. Thrive.
Other committee memberships include: Academic Standards Committee, Judicial Appeal Council, General Education Committee, FYF Advisory Committee, CODIE, University Assessment Committee, Title IX Administrative Committee, and the Student Success Task Force. Additional roles include being a staff mentor to new employees, campaign coordinator for the annual Wilkes United Way campaign for the United Way of the Wyoming Valley, chair of the Taste of Wilkes event planning committee, and an alternative spring break (ASB) trip chaperone (2024, 2025).Â
She began at Wilkes in 2016, working in the Office of Academic Success as an advisor coordinator until 2024.
Rabel graduated from the University of Scranton in May 2012 with a B.S. in Counseling and Human Services, a minor in Psychology, and a concentration in Women's Studies. She graduated from the University of Scranton in May 2014 with an M.S. in School Counseling and earned the National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential.Â
She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at Wilkes, with an expected graduation in Spring 2026.
