Thomas Limouze begins his fourth season as the head coach of the Wilkes men's and women's swimming teams in 2021-22 after being hired in July 2018.

In 2019-20 Limouze coached Justin Burda to a berth in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Open Swimming and Diving Championships in the 100 and 200 Butterfly events. On the women's side the Colonels were selected as a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-American Team for the Fall 2019.

Limouze coached the Colonels men's side to their best dual-meet winning percentage since the program rebirth prior to the 2014-15 season as the team went 7-3 (.700) in 2018-19. The men's team earned a seventh place finish at the 2019 MAC Championships for its best team finish at the event since the rebirth. The Colonels women's team was selected by the CSCAA as a Scholar All-America Team for the 2018 Fall semester.

Before Wilkes, Limouze spent a season as the assistant coach of men’s and women’s swimming and diving at Sewanee: the University of the South. During his year in Tennessee the Tigers broke five team records and saw 20 performances that ranked in program all-time top 10. Both the men’s and women’s teams finished fifth at the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Championships.

Before his time down south, Limouze was the assistant coach of men’s and women’s swimming at Swarthmore College for three seasons.  In 2017 Limouze helped lead the men’s team to the Centennial Conference Championship for the first time in the program’s history. During his time at Swarthmore Limouze coached 50 swimmers to the conference Academic Honor Roll, 23 swimmers to the All-Conference Team, the conference Women’s Swimming Rookie of the Year (2017), and a NCAA Woman of the Year top 15 finalist (2015). Limouze was honored by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America with the Jean Freeman Scholarship for Outstanding Assistant Coaching in 2015.

Before his stint at Swarthmore, Limouze founded and served as head coach of Friends Select Swimming (FSS) at USA Swimming Club in Philadelphia.  Limouze grew the club to more than 100 members and coached a range of swimmers.  In his time with FSS he sent many swimmers to Middle Atlantic LSC Junior Olympics and Senior Championships.

Limouze began his coaching career in 2006 at Ursinus College where he also worked as a neurobiology laboratory technician.  He volunteered to help coach practices with the Bears swimming program from 2006 through 2014. Limouze was also part of the women’s team’s first-ever Centennial Conference Championship in his final year with the program.

Limouze graduated from Oberlin College in 2006 where he was a four-year varsity swimmer.  He was named the men’s Most Valuable Swimmer for three of his years at Oberlin and was selected as captain for his final two seasons with the Yeomen. In his senior year he was awarded the Mace Fink Memorial Award for leadership, motivation, and devotion to the team.  In 2015 Limouze earned his Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Temple University.

Limouze and wife Kim reside in Mountain Top with their son Alexander (1).  Kim was a college swimmer at SUNY Stony Brook and is now a pharmacist at Geisinger Wyoming Valley.
