Murphy is a native of Bronx, NY and Christopher Columbus High School... Named the MAC Freedom Player of the Year and to the First Team as a senior in 2019... Captured No. 1 singles and teamed with Jonathan White to win No. 1 doubles titles at the 2018 MAC Individual Championships... Named MAC Freedom Player of the Year and First Team All-MAC Freedom as a junior... Captured No. 1 singles and teamed with Andrew Neidig to win No. 1 doubles titles at the 2017 MAC Individual Championships... Finished the 2016-17 season ranked No. 31 in the Oracle/ITA Division III Men's National Singles Rankings and No. 9 in the Oracle/ITA Division III Atlantic South Rankings... Earned All-American honors after going 1-1 at the 2017 NCAA Men's Singles Championship... Named the MAC Freedom Player of the Year and First Team All-MAC Freedom as a sophomore...
