Danielle Thacker begins her second year as a member of the Wilkes University softball coaching staff in 2017 and will be responsible for coaching the pitchers.
Thacker has spent the last 15 years as a private coach in California, Colorado, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, and coached the Dominican Republic National Team in 2003. Also in 2003, Thacker served as pitching coach at the University of New Mexico.
Thacker was a four-year letter winner at UNM, where she was one of the best players in school history. She is in the top-10 in multiple single-season and career statistical categories, and threw a perfect game in 1999.
Following her career, she played professionally in Italy, semi-pro in Colorado, and internationally at the Canadian Cup.
Thacker graduated from UNM with her Bachelor’s in University Studies.
