Jackie Klahold '15 MS begins her seventh season as head softball coach at Wilkes in 2026 following her hiring in September 2019. Klahold has served as the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) for the Wilkes athletic department since midway through the 2021-22 academic year and named the Associate Athletic Director for Game Operations in October 2025.

Wilkes made the Landmark Conference tournament for the first time in 2025, falling to top-seeded Moravian in the first round after defeating Drew University in the play-in game. The team finished with a 17-15 overall record, seeing four players named All-Landmark Conference. Utility player Mia Butka was also named to the NFCA All-Region V Second Team, Klahold's third All-Region selection.

The Colonels finished their first season of Landmark Conference play in 2024 with a 21-15 record, the most under her leadership. Pitcher Lauren DeMarco became Klahold's second player to earn all-region honors at Wilkes being named to the NFCA Second Team. DeMarco was also selected as the Landmark Pitcher of the Year, headlining a class of five all-conference selections across all three teams.

Wilkes went 18-18 overall in 2023, with Nicole Howell and Hannah Boyd named All-MAC Freedom Honorable Mentions. Howell became Klahold's first player at Wilkes to earn All-Region recognition as she was selected Third Team All-Region IV by the NFCA as an outfielder.

The 2022 season saw the Colonels finish with a 14-16 record with Pritchard earning First Team All-MAC Freedom honors and 12 student-athletes were named as 2021-22 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.

Klahold's first season in 2020 was cut short by the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic as the Colonels were 8-5 overall. In 2021 the Colonels won five MAC Freedom games in an abbreviated season and were the seventh seed in a MAC Freedom Quarterfinal series with a new postseason format. Erin Cabry (First Team) and Rachel Pritchard (Honorable Mention) were selected to the All-MAC Freedom Team and 11 players were named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athletes.
