Nicole Hoskins enters her third year on the Wilkes softball staff as an assistant coach for the 2026 season.
Hoskins coached at the high school level for 10 seasons for Wilkes-Barre Area. When the schools combined, Hoskins coached at Hanover Area for two seasons in 2021 & 2022. In the summer months, Hoskins was involved with travel softball for many organizations focusing on player development and showcasing skills.
Hoskins graduated from Misericordia in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She then graduated from the University of Scranton in 2012 with a Master’s degree in School Counseling.Â
While at Misericordia University, Hoskins was a four-year member of the softball team, graduating in the school’s all-time top 10 for games, hits, doubles, home runs, total bases, RBIs, walks, hit by pitches and putouts.
The Plains Township, Pa. native was named Freedom Conference Player of the Year in 2010 and was an All-Freedom First Team selection the year prior. Hoskins was a crucial part of teams that won the ECAC South Championship in back-to-back years as a sophomore and junior and won the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference in 2007 as a first-year.
In 2006, Hoskins represented the United States in international competition at the Tuscany Tour in Arezzo, Italy, helping the U.S. to a first-place finish. In 2008 she represented the country in victory once again, taking first in the Spanish Friendship Series held in Barcelona.
