2012: Had an oustanding freshmen year for Wilkes...Was named All-Freedom Conference First-Team...Was the top pitcher in the circle and contributed at the plate as well...Hughes appeared in 17 games starting 16 in the circle posting a 6-11 record with 125 strike-outs in 102 1/3 innings..Boasting a 2.80 ERA while adding one shut-out...In six games during the season she had at least 8 strikeouts...In the game against PSU-Hazleton (04/19/12) recorde a season high 15 strikeouts...At the plate played a major role putting up 19 hits, 13 runs, 9 RBI's in 63 at-bats...Batted .302 as she was second on team with 14 walks and .429 on base percentage.
