Made 39 appearances, including 37 starts…hit .305 with 29 hits in 95 at-bats…scoring 18 runs with 15 RBIs…was 5-7 in stolen bases and had six SAC bunts on the season…finished the season with five doubles, two triples, and one home run… went 4-8 between the two games against DeSales (March 25) totaling two doubles, a home run, and four RBIs…went 3-3 against FDU-Florham (March 26) with two RBIs, a double, and a walk…went 2-4 against Misericordia (April 8)…fielded .974% with 67 total putouts…made appearances as a catcher, outfielder and second baseman… named Second Team All-MAC Freedom for Utility...ECAC DIII North Softball Player of the Week (March 29)...MAC Player of the Week (March 27).

2016 (SOPHOMORE)
Second Team All-MAC Freedom Conference…NFCA Academic All-America Scholar Athlete…All-MAC Honor Roll…made 36 appearances including 36 starts behind the plate…started the first eight games of the season with a .600 batting average going 13-for-23 with an 8 game on-base streak (March 7-March 10)…finished the season with a .303 batting average, a team leading 33 hits with 21 runs scored and six RBI…was fouth in the MAC Freedom with nine stolen bases…led the team and the MAC Freedom with 10 SAC bunts…had eight multiple hit games including two games with three hits (SUNY Poly March 8, Sweet Briar March 9)…went 2-for-4 against Delaware Valley (March 24)…went 2-for-2 with a walk against Lycoming (March 29)…went 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored against Susquehanna (April 13).

2015 (FRESHMAN)
NFCA Academic All-America Scholar…made 25 appearances including 23 starts…finished the season with a .333 batting average, 16 hits in 48 at-bats with eight runs scored and six RBI…went 2-for-3 against Grove City (March 3)…went 1-for-1 with a run scored and two walks against John Jay (March 3)…went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI against Marywood (April 26)…went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI against SUNY Canton (April 27).

HIGH SCHOOL
Played four years of basketball and softball at Cherry Hill High School East in Cherry Hill, NJ…received the Coach’s Award all 4 seasons of softball and in 3 seasons of basketball…earned academic honor roll at CHHS East 16 of 16 marking periods.

Sarah Birchmeier was born on February 21, 1996…from Cherry Hill, NJ…daughter of Scott and Ruth Birchmeier…has one brother, Bryan…double majoring in Spanish and Secondary Education with a minor in Women and Gender Studies.
