Beth Spencer begins her eighth season in 2022-23 as the head coach of the Wilkes women's golf team.
Spencer spent the teams inaugural season as an assistant coach before being elevated to head mentor in 2015-16.
Spencer came to Wilkes after working as a Physical Education/Health teacher for several schools in the Holy Redeemer School System.
She has also served as golf Instructor for over 31 years at Lehman Golf Club having worked at the club in all aspects of the business for over 40 years. Spencer has local ties to the area having graduated from Bishop O'Reilly High School where she played golf and softball lettering all four years. While at Bishop O’Reilly, Spencer received numerous all-star team selections including a three-time golf all-star honoree.
Spencer coached golf at O'Reilly for four years while initiating an intramural golf league for grades 5-8 at both Gate of Heaven and Wyoming Seminary.
She graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a degree in Health and Physical Education and a degree in Early Childhood Education. She also played golf for two years on the men's team at ESU.
Spencer then graduated from Marywood University with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership. She currently works at Wilkes in the Education Department as the Coordinator of Field Experiences.
