This bio is now a part of a historical archive, the individual was on the coaching staff from 2010 to 2015 and is no longer employed by Wilkes University. 

Harry Armstrong enters his fifth season on the sidelines at Wilkes in 2015, working with the Colonels wide receivers. Armstrong also serves as head coach of the women's golf team at Wilkes which enters its second season in 2015-2016.


Armstrong came to Wilkes after an outstanding career at Lafayette College where he started at quarterback for two seasons. He graduated in 2002 with a degree in Economics and Business.
Armstrong’s coaching experience is widespread at all levels. He started at his alma mater as an assistant defensive backs coach following graduation. From there, Armstrong served as the running backs coach at Worcester Polytechnic Institute before moving onto John Hopkins University as the quarterbacks coach. He also has experience at the professional level having served as the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach for the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers Arena Football team. Recently, Armstrong served as head coach at Riverside high school.
Armstrong has local ties to the area having graduated from Riverside in 1998. While at Riverside, Armstrong played behind center totaling 4,253 yards and 66 touchdowns over his four year career.

Armstrong also serves as the head women's golf coach at Wilkes which began play in 2014-15. He
 began his coaching career as an assistant golf pro for junior golfers at age 21, and  has experience running junior golf camps, clinics, and private instruction.
Originally from Taylor, PA, Armstrong is married to Christine Loyek.
