Amber McCarver begins her third season at the helm of the Wilkes women's lacrosse program in 2024 after being named to the position on January 26, 2022 and will lead the Colonels transition into the Landmark Conference.
McCarver came to Wilkes following a three-year career at goalie at MAC Commonwealth power Messiah College. She played in 42 career games in net for the Falcons, including 36 starts during her junior and senior seasons. McCarver finished her junior year with a 7.67 goals against average posting 62 saves while recording 13 wins. Her senior season saw McCarver start in 17 games posting a 13.41 goals against average and 131 saves.
For her career, McCarver finished in the top ten in Messiah goalkeeper records including minutes played (1,604 – sixth) and saves (195 – seventh).
McCarver has coached several club teams throughout the Southeastern Pennsylvania circuit and is a PIAA certified US Lacrosse official.
She graduated from Messiah in 2019 with a degree in Biochemistry. She is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Data Science from Eastern University.
