Becky Barritt begins her third season on the Wilkes women's soccer staff as an assistant coach.

Barritt comes to Wilkes after serving as a graduate assistant at her alma mater Duquesne University. Prior to her coaching at Duquesne, Barritt enjoyed a two-year professional career competing during the 2004 and 2005 seasons for FC Honka; a member of the Finnish Women's Premier League. During that time, she was a two-year starter securing the center back / outside back position. In her first season, 2004, Barritt helped guide the team to a fifth place finish in the 10-team Women's Premiere League with a 9-5-4 record. That year, Honka advanced to the quarterfinals of the Finnish Women's Cup. In 2005, she led Honka to a fourth place finish posting an overall mark of 11-5-2 while advancing to the quarterfinals of the Finnish Cup. Honka also won the 2005 Melody Tournament in Pietarsaari, Finland and scored a league-high 57 goals. Over her career, Barritt posted 10 assists, one goal and was a five-time "Star of the Game" Award winner.

Barritt played in the USL-W League from 2001-2003 for the Denver Lady Cougars as a center back and forward. In 2002, the team advanced to the W-league Playoffs, losing in the semi-finals.
Barritt was a three-year starter and four-year letterwinner as both a forward and defender at Duquesne. She was a key component to the Dukes' defense in 2003 which allowed just 32 goals and boasted a 1.55 goals against average. She aided in four team shutouts and challenged the opponent's top scoring threat in each match. She served as a forward for two seasons and on her career racked up nine goals and three assists for 21 points starting 59 of her 71 contests.

Academically, Barritt was a 2003 CoSIDA District 2 Academic All-American, a 2001 USAA All-American Scholar and was named a 2003 Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference pick.

Barritt played prep soccer at Upper St. Clair High School leading the Panthers to the 1998 and 1999 WPIAL championship crowns and to three WPIAL Section 5 championship titles. She paced the Panthers with 23 goals and eight assists in 1999 and was lauded as a 1999 Pittsburgh Post Gazette All-Star and as its South Division Player of the Year. Barritt was a 1999 All-WPIAL and All-Section 5 AAA selection.

Barritt earned a Bachelor's degree in corporate communication from Duquesne in 2004.
