Jordan Downs begins her second season as graduate assistant at Wilkes in 2016.
Downs comes to Wilkes following a fine playing career at perennial power The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) where she started four years as a defender for the Lions.
Downs earned her second straight D3soccer.com All-American First Team honor last fall as a senior. A restart specialist throughout her career, Downs served up three assists in 2014. She finished her four-year tenure at TCNJ with four goals and 16 assists in 78 games on the field.
Downs was twice named New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year (2013 and 2014) and earned All-South Atlantic Regional First Team during her junior and senior years. Downs was also named to the 2014 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III All-America Second Team in early December during her final campaign at TCNJ.
As a senior, Downs led her team to an 18-3-1 overall mark advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2014 NCAA Division III Championships. She graduated from TCNJ in May 2015 with a degree in Health and Exercise Science Education earning Dean's List honors in all six semesters.
