Susie Zavistoski joins the women's soccer staff at Wilkes in 2011 as a graduate assistant. She will fundamentally take assistant coach responsibilities as she returns to Wilkes, where she spent four years playing for head coach John Sumoski from 2004-07, graduating in May 2008.
A team captain both as a junior as senior, Zavistoski was a two-time All-Freedom Conference selection at defender, earning first team honors in 2007. Scoring a career-high four goals as a sophomore, she helped the Lady Colonels to a Freedom Conference title in 2005 with a 15-4-1 overall record. That year Wilkes was ranked as high as 16th in all of NCAA Division III, and was also ranked third in the Mid-Atlantic Region by the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America).
Also effective in the classroom, Zavistoski was a part of a Lady Colonels squad that earned the NSCAA team academic award each year she was at Wilkes, in addition to individually being named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2007. The business marketing major was also a member of the school's dean's list, a Wilkes University Presidential Scholarship recipient, and a member of the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society.
During her time at Wilkes, Zavistoski was also a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and the Society for Advancement of Management, ultimately being elected as vice president of both. She was also a member of Sigma Alpha Pi National Society of Leadership and Success and Delta Epsilon Chi Business Leadership Fraternity.
