Younes Hidass

This bio is now a part of a historical archive, the individual was on the staff from 2016-2019 and is no longer employed by Wilkes University. 

Younes Hidass will serve as interim head coach of the Wilkes men's and women's tennis teams during the 2018-19 fall season. He spent the last two years as a graduate assistant coach and will finish his degree this fall.

Younes came to Wilkes following a fine playing and coaching career having played No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles for Queens College.  He was selected to the ECC All-Conference First Team both years.  Also, he was awarded the most valuable player on the team both years, and outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year in his final season.  Younes also achieved a high regional singles ranking of 5, in the East.  Prior to Queens College, Younes had a very successful playing career at William Carey University
 
Younes also has an extensive career as a teaching professional.  He worked in the John McEnroe Tennis Academy for the past 16 months, learning from the former No. 1 player.  Also, Younes was able to work with some of the best coaches in the country.  He also taught and hit with some of the best players, including NCAA Division I champion Jamie Loeb and tennis professional Noah Rubin.
 
He graduated from Queens College with a B.A. in Economics, with a minor in Political Science.
