Burkhart is a native of Hughesville, Pa. and Hughesville High School... He went 27-10 as a senior at Hughesville placing eighth at PIAA's... Went 23-5 for Keystone College as a first year and placed fifth at the NCAA Mideast Regional... Set the single-season program record for Wilkes as a sophomore in 2022-23 with 24 pins. Went 30-11 overall, placing second at the Ned McGinley Invitational and Blue Jay Classic and fifth at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships and NCAA Southeast Regional... Finished his junior season in 2023-24 with a 32-11 overall record, placed third at the NCAA Southeast Regional to become a National Qualifer and wrestled at the 2024 NCAA National Championships. He was a champion at the Ned McGinley Invitational, placed second at the Wilkes Open and John Summa Invitational, third at the Blue Jay Classic, and fifth at the Doug Parker Invitational.
