Jeff Grear

This bio is now a part of a historical archive, the individual was on the staff from 2017-2018 and is no longer employed by Wilkes University. 

Jeff Grear begins his first season as Wilkes University's Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach and Fitness Center Assistant, where he will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the strength and conditioning programs for the student athletes of the 23 Colonel varsity sports.

Grear brings a wealth of Division I experience after working with multiple teams, including the perennially nationally ranked football team at the University of Alabama from 2015 to 2016. Grear also served a four-month internship at Huntingdon College where he worked with multiple teams to implement design and implementation of daily workout programs and injury prevention routines.

In addition to his University work, Grear has spent the last five years working at private facilities, where he worked as a private trainer for all levels of athletes from multiple sports.

Grear, who is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, a Level I Sport Performance Coach through the USAW, and a CSCS certification, graduated from the University of Alabama in 2010 with a Bachelor's in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in Coaching, Health Promotion, and Business before earning his Master's in 2016 in Human Performance.
