Casey Carpenter begins her first season as Assistant Athletic Director for Game Operations and the Head Coach of the Wilkes softball program in 2027, after being named to positions on May 14, 2026.
This marks Carpenter's sixth season in the Colonels dugout, having spent five seasons as an assistant coach. In her time as an assistant, she helped coach the team to three playoff berths between the Landmark and Middle Atlantic Conferences, 19 All-Conference selections, and three NFCA All-Region selections. She also served as the Interim Intramural Director from October 2023 to May 2024.
Carpenter came to Wilkes after serving as a a 12u co-head coach at Riverfront Sports in Scranton. Prior to Riverfront, Carpenter served as a camp instructor and 14u head coach at Maximum Impact Sports Training in Wilkes-Barre. Carpenter also served a semester as an intern with the Lock Haven softball team, where she assisted coaches with various day-to-day tasks.
Carpenter graduated from Lock Haven in 2021 with a degree in Health and Physical Education, where she was a five-year member and two-year captain of the softball program. Carpenter was named First Team All-PSAC in 2019, and excelled off the field as well earning PSAC Scholar-Athlete recognition and Lock Haven's Dean's List. She was also awarded the Soaring Eagle Award in 2021, given to the Lock Haven softball senior who is both a hard-working leader and intrinsically motivated.
