Dr. Joyce Victor is a registered nurse and Associate Professor of Nursing at Wilkes University.
She is a four-degree alumna of Wilkes, earning a BSN, MSN, MHA, and MA in Creative Writing. She earned her PhD from Duquesne University and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship through the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL). Dr. Victor is board certified in Nursing Professional Development and holds advanced certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE-A) through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). She is an active member of SSH, INACSL, and the American Heart Association, and is President of the Executive Board at Wyoming Valley Children’s Association. She is the author of three books and has presented and published at various international, peer-reviewed venues.
Dr. Victor resides in Hudson with her husband, Jim, and her calico cat, Elma Louise. She loves being a spectator and cheerleader for the student athletes, and enjoys watching NFL football, tennis and swimming.
