Dr. Kadlec is a Professor of Biology. She received a BA in Biology from Haverford College and a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from Duke University, did post-doctoral work in the Molecular Biology Department at Princeton University, and taught for a year at Rhodes College, in Memphis, TN before coming to Wilkes. She teaches a variety of courses, including freshman biology labs, genetics, and the senior capstone course, and her research interests are in cell signaling, genetics, and development.

Dr. Kadlec was a 4-year member of the Haverford women's soccer team, holds a 3rd degree black belt in karate and a 1st degree black belt in aikido, and is an avid fan of all things Duke athletics. She lives in Kingston with her two cats, Alexander Hamilcat and Everhart.
