Turner ‘16 joins the Wilkes wrestling staff as an assistant coach for the 2025 season.
Turner spent four years with the men’s wrestling team as a student-athlete at Wilkes, amassing a 54-43 record at the 149, 157 and 165 weight classes. He earned the 'most falls' award at the Red Dragon Invitational in 2011, a 7th place finish at the Messiah Open in 2014, a 2nd place finish at the Will Abele Invite in 2014 and a 1st place finish at the Will Abele Invite the next year. At the 2015 NWCA National Duals in Fort Wayne, Indiana; Turner strung together a 4-1 showing at two weight classes. He graduated from Wilkes in 2016 with a degree in Earth & Environmental Science.
Turner joins Wilkes after a stint with King’s College as an assistant coach from 2023-2025 where he directed four National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-Americans and three top eight finishers at the NCAA Division III Southeast Regional Championship.
The Plains, Pa. native works as a Staff Scientist at Verdantas and lives in his hometown with his wife, Kerryn.
