On Friday, Wilkes lost to CCNY 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-22) and Geneseo 3-1 (21-25, 26-24, 26-24, 25-21). Over the course of the two matches,
Marissa Harrison (Shavertown, Pa./Lake-Lehman) led the team with 24 kills, while
Allison Kelleher (Sayre, Pa./Athens Area) had a team-high 30 digs.
LeeAnn Searfoss (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) contributed 54 assists on the day. Against Geneseo,
Kaitlyn McGurk (Swarthmore, Pa./Ridley) had a team-high four service aces. With the win, CCNY's overall record moves to 10-7, while Geneseo's record rises to 6-7.
On Saturday, the Lady Colonels were defeated by Hunter (25-14, 25-18, 26-24) and Fredonia (25-22, 25-12, 25-20), both by the score of 3-0. Harrison led the team with 16 kills and four service aces over the two matches, while Searfoss had a team-high 36 assists and 11 digs. With the win, Hunter's overall record moves to 15-3, while Fredonia's mark rises to 18-6.
Wilkes returns to action on Wednesday when they host No. 13 Eastern University in a Freedom match at 7:00 p.m.
