LADY COLONELS REMAIN PERFECT IN LEAGUE PLAY WITH WIN OVER MISERICORDIA

DALLAS – Amanda Tilley (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) scored a goal as time expired in the second overtime period to lift Wilkes to a 2-1 win over Misericordia improving to 5-0 in Freedom Conference play. 
           
Alyson Paulauskas (Shavertown, Pa./Lake-Lehman) got the Lady Colonels on the board early with her sixth goal of the season with an unassisted score at the four minute mark. Wilkes would keep its 1-0 lead until Misericordia's Jen Lozier scored with just over two minutes to play in regulation. 
           
The Cougars out-shot Wilkes 18-12 in overtime, 14 of those coming in the second half. Both teams had 10 shots on goal in both overtimes. Wilkes goal keeper Lindsey Davenport (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) recorded 18 saves on the day, while the Lady Colonels finished with 22 total shots, six coming from Alyssa Koncelik (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip)
           
Wilkes, ranked 19th in the latest NFCA Coaches Poll, improved to 14-1 overall, while Misericordia fell to 11-5 overall and 4-2 in league play. The Lady Colonels will return home Saturday when they face Delaware Valley on senior day.
