SCRANTON – Alyssa Koncelik (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) and Alyson Paulauskas (Shavertown, Pa./Lake-Lehman) scored two goals each to lead Wilkes to a 4-0 win over Marywood in Field Hockey action Saturday afternoon.

The win improves the Lady Colonels to 4-0 this season and freshman goal keeper Lindsey Davenport (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) recorded her second shutout in four contests.

Koncelik broke a scoreless tie at the 16:58 mark on an unassisted goal before Paulauskas made it 2-0 with just over 10 minutes to play in the half. She would score her second goal of the day in less than two minutes to make it 3-0 before the half. Koncelik finished out the scoring with 32 minutes to play.

“We were up 3-0 at the half,” head coach Sara Myers said. “We played a really intense first half and made really good decisions in the offensive circle.” The Lady Colonels shot early and often, shooting 26 times, including 22 shots on goal. While Wilkes controlled most of the offense, Marywood had just for shots the entire game – all of which were on goal.

“A lot of players stepped up today and showed they had great skill. I am really proud of the way we are playing right now,” Myers said.
