James Histead picked up a 2-0 victory over Robert Hickman at 157, but Delaware Valley took the rest of the nine bouts to take a 38-3 win over Wilkes University.
The No. 3 Aggies picked up two falls and two technical falls, improving to 11-1-1 on the year, while the No. 19 Colonels fell to 11-5-1 on the year. At 133, Brandon Clemmer picked up a point in the first period over
Josh Pauling (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) which proved to be the only point of the bout to give the Aggies an early 3-0 lead. It would be 10-0 before Histead put the Colonels on the board. The win improves Histead to 17-11 overall.
At 125,
Shaun Farnham (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Charles W. Baker) was less than 30 seconds away from defeating No. 4 Chris Sheetz, but a quick turn of event gave Sheetz a 6-3 win, handing Farnham his second loss of the year.
The Colonels will be in action tomorrow when they head to Hunter at 1 p.m. Wilkes will return to the Marts Center on Tuesday when they host TCNJ at 7 p.m.
