Wilkes University scored three goals in the first 3:33 of the game and eventually rode that momentum to a 6-3 win over Manhattanville as the Lady Colonels celebrated senior day.

Amanda Peters (Catasauqua/Catasauqua) scored the initial two goals of the game with the first coming 41 seconds into the contest, while the second came 35 seconds later as the Lady Colonels led 2-0 after just 1:16. Wilkes eventually led 4-0 before the game was midway through the first half with Amanda Tilley (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) and Jenna DiSabatino (Mountaintop, Pa./Crestwood) scoring as well.

Wilkes dominated offensively as it finished with 28 shots including 18 on goal with Peters leading the way with five. Stacy Malia (Ashley, Pa./Hanover Area), recording her second career start, had three shots and tallied her first collegiate goal in the opening period to give the Lady Colonels a 5-0 advantage.

Manhattanville broke up the shutout in the second half when Maura Bruen and Alyssa Coughlan scored back-to-back goals in under three minutes. Bruen would eventually score her second goal of the game at the 67th minute to close out the scoring.

The Lady Colonels will extend their season as they have secured the No. 2 seed in the Freedom Conference Tournament and will host King's College at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Artillery Park. Wilkes won the first meeting between the two schools 3-1 earlier this season at King's. The winner of the game will face the winner of the Delaware Valley and Eastern matchup.
