MADISON, NJ – Marissa Harrison (Shavertown, Lake-Lehman) had 19 kills and Allie Kelleher (Sayre, Athens Area) added 31 digs as Wilkes University downed FDU-Florham 3-1 in Freedom Conference volleyball action on Wednesday night in Madison, NJ. The match was the conference opener for both teams.

Kelleher's 31 digs were four shy of her own school record of 35.

The Lady Colonels (6-5) took the first two games, 29-27 and 26-24 before dropping the third and winning the fourth 25-16.

Wilkes was strong on the defensive side, as Erin Nothstein (Mertztown, Brandywine Heights) had 22 digs, Harrison had 18 and Kate McGurk (Swarthmore, Ridley) added 16. McGurk also posted 15 assists while Alex Zero (Moscow, North Pocono) had 13. The Lady Colonels totaled 48 kills in the four games, including 14 in the second.

The Lady Colonels return to the court this Saturday when they travel to Williamsport to take on Lycoming and Baptist Bible College in a tri-match.
