BETHLEHEM – Allie Kelleher (Sayre, Athens Area) had 17 digs and Marissa Harrison (Shavertown, Lake-Lehman) posted 16 kills and added 17 digs in the Lady Colonels 3-1 win over Alvernia as Wilkes University's volleyball team split Friday night's matches at the Moravian Tournament in Bethlehem, Pa. Wilkes dropped its first match to Swarthmore, 3-0.

11 of Kelleher's 17 digs against Alvernia came in the first game, however the Lady Colonels fell 25-23. Wilkes rallied, defeating the Crusaders 25-15 in each of the next three games to take the victory.

Kate McGurk (Swarthmore, Ridley) also came through, registering 27 assists and 11 digs. Casey Bohan (Harding, Wyoming Area) added seven kills and Emily DeBuck (Pine Island, NY, Warwick Valley) had four blocks for Wilkes.

In the day's first match, Wilkes fell 25-16, 25-18 and 25-10 to the Garnet. McGurk had six kills and nine assists for the Lady Colonels, while Bohan had five kills and DeBuck added three blocks.

The Lady Colonels (1-2) will play twice again at Moravian on Saturday, against Centenary and Cabrini.
