Wilkes will return to Freedom Conference play Friday when the Lady Colonels host Delaware Valley College at Schmidt Stadium at 7:00 p.m. The game will also feature Wilkes' “Play for the Cure” night. “Play 4 the Cure” was created by Mystx Field Hockey Club founder, director and coach Tina Reinrect who began the movement with an indoor field hockey tournament in Feasterville, Pa. With October as the height of the field hockey season and Breast Cancer Awareness month, Reinrect began a movement to declare within the field hockey community that October is Play 4 the Cure month. Since that first tournament, hundreds of middle school, high school, college and club teams have joined the cause. Print Friendly Version
